Telling it like it is…

There’s something to be said about someone who “tells it like it is”. I’m not saying that we all should walk around telling people the first thing that comes to mind, but someone who “speaks truth in love” at all cost.

As most of you know I try and watch Newspring church online on a weekly basis. The messages are truth, and the music will rock your face off. The thing that draws me back from week to week is Perry. Perry is the pastor at Newspring and on a weekly basis speaks truth in love, by telling it like it is.

I encourage all 5 of you who read my blog if you haven’t ever watched Newspring online, then do so this week. They are in a series called “You Asked For It” which addresses topics that the church wanted to know about. This past week was on drinking. Totally incredible message! You may not agree with Perry on this issue, but I believe that you’ll be blessed by someone in the church who finally…tells it like it is.

  1. Hey. I didn’t forget you….my day got insane; i’m so sorry. I’m teaching this year and kids come tomorrow….about 30 of them, high schoolers, none of whom speak English. :) Awesome. I really do want to talk…can you call me tomorrow around 4EST? That way I’ll stop what I’m doing and we can chat. Looking forward to it — RM

  3. Tony, I’ve enjoyed Newspring’s messages on podcast during my long runs. I even got two messages in last time I ran! You’re 100% correct-truth! The Spirit lives and speaks truth. :-) As a specialist in pedagogue acumen (did you need to look it up?-LOL), I especially appreciate the methods he uses to bring home points. All the tools of the trade are in his belt! Shake-n-bake!
