Yet Another Tithing/Offering Video
I pulled this video from Tony Morgan’s blog. I know I recently posted a video on giving, but I really loved Perry’s view on church offering and I thought I would share. He is totally dead on when he mentions how for some reason it’s easy for us [church goers] to get fired up over a “worship song” but totally neglect financial giving as a part of our worship to God. I know personally. Worship through music stimulates some positive, emotional, warm fuzzy feelings of being “filled” through the music (kinda self-centered, huh?)
Yet, giving, especially of money, stimulates some, maybe negative, feelings of sacrifice, or emptying even when see the just cause.
So why not feel ‘filled’ when giving? Should I expect to feel ‘filled’ when praising and worshiping God for being…well, God?
